About Birmingham

Birmingham, located in the centre of the West Midlands region on the Birmingham Plateau,
England, is the second, most populous city in the United Kingdom. The city is a landmark
representation of the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Its growth took place
mainly during the Industrial Revolution which is evident from the remnants that have
adorned the city over time. After London, it is the second cultural, social, financial and
commercial centre in England. Due to this, it is also known as the ‘second city’.
